About Us

Our Mission and Vision:
Our goal is to create a personalized educational experience via digital learning
in a flexible setting that meets each student’s unique life circumstances and
supports his/her individual educational goals while providing preparation for college, career, and life.

Puyallup Digital Learning (PDL) is a fully accredited online school in partnership with the Puyallup School District. PDL provides a way for students to take classes over the Internet, learning at their own pace, on their own schedule, and primarily, in their own environment.  Since it is part of the Puyallup School District,  Puyallup Digital Learning is tuition-free for all students. Students may start at any time. Call or email for an appointment today.

With  Puyallup Digital Learning, students have access to a wide variety of engaging classes. They earn a high school diploma from the Puyallup School District upon completing the program.  Students have their own graduation ceremony in June.

Students enrolled in Puyallup Digital Learning are either in Puyallup Open Doors (POD) or  Puyallup Online Academy (POA).
For both programs:
 - Over 100 courses available, including core, elective, advanced placement (AP), diagnostic, interventions, and credit retrieval.
 - Students enrolled in Puyallup Digital Learning are students of the top-rated Puyallup School District.
 - The curriculum and teachers of the Puyallup Digital Learning are accredited through AdvancED.

Puyallup Online Academy (POA) is available for students in grades 7 through 12.

Students enrolled in POA can earn a Puyallup School District diploma through their resident school if they are taking a course there or they earn a diploma through Puyallup Digital Learning if they are full-time online.

Students enrolled in POA can participate in athletics and activities at their resident Puyallup school as long as they meet eligibility requirements.

Puyallup Online Academy students can take 1 or 2 classes  at their resident school (for example, music, PE, JROTC, or math) while attending Puyallup Digital Learning for 4 or 5 periods.

Students on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) are provided special education resource support.

Students enrolled in POA attend a weekly lab session where they can get help from the on-site core teachers.
Puyallup Open Doors (POD) is available to students between the ages of 16 to 21 as of September 1 of the current school year. A credit deficiency calculator is used to determine eligibility.

Students enrolled in POD attend lab sessions twice a week for support from the on-site core teachers.

Students enrolled in POD can earn a Puyallup School district diploma or prepare for testing for a GED. Puyallup Digital Learning will pay for the GED testing for each of the 4 tests as the student successfully completes each practice test.
