MaganST@puyallup.k12.wa.us

Welcome! My name is Sonia Magaña and I am the school counselor for POA 9-12th grade. I obtained my undergraduate degree from California State University Channel Islands in Liberal Studies and went on to obtain my Masters of Science in Counseling from California Lutheran University.  I am starting my third year as a school counselor. Starting my career in San Diego as a middle school counselor, I then joined an elementary school in the Santa Clarita Valley. Originally from Michoacán, Mexico, I grew up in sunny Southern California; I am bilingual and have a deep appreciation for World Culture and Languages. You will find me traveling, enjoying museums, or watching cinema on my free time. I am beyond ecstatic to join the PDL team and help students reach their full potential!

Hello there! My name is Alyssa Flaherty and I am the School Counselor for POD, POA 6th-8th graders, and the P4 program. Originally from Bellingham Washington, I lived for many years in the San Juan Islands as a summer camp director. After getting my Associate's Degree from Shoreline Community College, I received my BA in Sociology from Western Washington University, and most recently graduated with my M.ED in School Counseling from Seattle Pacific University. In my spare time I love to go hiking and camping, but I can also be found snuggling up with my cat, Winnie, while reading a good book. I am thrilled to be a part of the PDL community and look forward to working with you!

POD GED Case Manager Tiffany Richardson
RichaTM@puyallyp.k12.wa.us

Hello my name is Tiffany Richardson. I've been working in education for almost a decade now. I did my undergraduate degree at Walla Walla University and I started my Masters in Teaching in North Carolina but life brought me back to the Great Pacific Northwest and I finished my teaching certification here. I love to travel and am trying to get as many new stamps as I can next summer. Germany? New Zealand? China? Paris? Not sure but adventure calls!  I love working with students and truly enjoy doing all I can to support them as they move towards their goals and dreams. I am here for ALL PDL students however this year I am the case manager for our GED students. I love for students to share good music with me and I am always around for a chat. Let me know how I can help.
