Dear Puyallup Digital Learning Families,
We are a month into second semester and spring is upon us. There are a lot of moving pieces, and we want to make sure that you are in the loop.
Parent Partnership (P4) families, your student can attend school in-person one day a week, participate in our sewing club, and join other on campus activities. Your P4 teacher provides campus information in their weekly newsletter.
If you are planning to return to P4 next year, please complete the 23-24 registration survey if you have not already.
In addition, if you have any family's members interested in kindergarten, please feel free to share the link https://forms.office.com/r/3U1DMCcyhZ or have them contact PDL at 253-864-5700 for enrollment information.
Puyallup Online Academy families, teachers are reaching out to you regarding your student’s progress in class. We have noticed an increase in absences and some apathy towards completing assignments and assessments. Teachers and staff will be available in-person and virtually during spring conference week. If your student is on track, connect with your student’s counselor to get information for graduation requirements, scholarships, and opportunities to earn community service hours. If your student is not on track, please plan to attend the evening conference on March 8 from 1-4 p.m. and/or 5-7 p.m.
I will be hosting Donuts with the Director on March 8 during evening conferences. During our time together, I will be sharing the changes for the 2023-2024 school year. As a preview, we will continue to offer virtual classes using Microsoft Teams. Class periods will continue to meet two days a week but will be shorten from 90-minutes to approximately 50-minutes. We are adding in-person or virtual learning labs to be scheduled for students two days a week. Please join me for Donuts with the Director for detailed information.
In appreciation,

Ms. Tawana Bens, Puyallup Digital Learning Director
